I think spring may finally be here in the northwoods of WI. It's been quite a while since I have been on here. My father in-law caught a monster tiger musky as you can see in the pics. I published. He caught it on his 76th birthday & realeased it so it's still swimming around out there. He won the Packerland Musky club largest Musky caught & realeased by getting a free mount done by Lax Taxidermy of Conover, WI. My daughter shot her first turkey on the youth hunt they had last week. My husband has a tag for next week and mine is for Mid May (mosquito season for mine again this year). We were out on the Bay troll fishing last night & caught some nice walleye & northern. We are probably going to head back later this afternoon. I'm getting excited for the Musky fishing season to start. I'm in a womens tournament on June 13th so wish me some luck!
Almost a week to go for the WI rifle season

[deer hunting]
The deer are in full rut around here. Jay has been out with the bow but has not been seeing any big bucks, just little ones so far doing alot of chasing. I'm excited for rifle season next weekend. Going to get the blinds & orange ready to go this weekend. I will be hunting opening day on my parents land in Pound & my husband and daughter will be hunting on his parents land in Lena. Hopefully, we will see some nice ones. Have you seen the big buck that was harvested in Buffalo County, WI. Impressive! Check it out on You Tube if you haven't. I'll let you know how we did after Thanksgiving!

Good to see someone else from WI out here. I will be going turkey hunting in Zone 5 during the last season in May...forgot to put in for a tag last Dec so I ended up buying one on line a few weeks ago. Good luck turkey hunting and with Musky tournament!
