im looking for someone to help me i have a private lake behind my house that has never been fished i have only been on it once so far and cought nothing it is a realy dark stained lake that is about 35' deep with a lot of turtles can anyone recomend something i should try too catch fish and what color thanks

WilliamFirst i would lower the turtle population.
Contact your local wildlife biologist and see if he would be willing to come take a look and see what he thinks about the water's o2 level's.
Also you can contact the nearest fish hatchery and get the date on the next when and where the fish truck will be and buy some bags of baby crappie and bass and free them in the lake.that will get you off on the right foot. by this time next year you will be slaying them. i wish you the best of luck!
