Just got a notice from a friend stating on Sept. 11, the California Assy passed a bill AB 962 that will ban mail-order and internet sales of handgun ammo and many other extremely serious prohibitions including thumbprint ID, etc. The bill is currently on Gov. Schwarzenegger's desk. He only has until Oct. 11th to either sign or veto the bill. Unless he veto's it, it will become Law and Cabela's ability to service Customers for many products will be terminated.

Quite an interesting show. Kind of a 'Survivor' in an urban setting. Perhaps they have been watching Best Defense series. If anyone has seen this, it is interesting to see some of the inventions they have come up with for fuel, water purification, etc.! Although it is a TV show, it delves into the psycological aspects of beginning of a group of people to become an individual team or Colony. There are some unique ideas on the show such as ionization for water purification and the use of solar power. Many of these devices could be used at base camps for silent but effective convenience and is even environmently friendly. It also shows situations dealing with stress, prioritizing, rule setting and complience. Very interesting show. Most of us would probably search for Bass-Pro Shops or Gander stores to raid, but then the show wouldn't have been set in urban Los Angeles as a post-apocolyptic setting, would it? Fun to watch and see how they react to each other and to their situations. The show airs on Tuesdays on Discovery down here on Dish Network.
