Wednesday, December 26, 2007, 09:04 AM CST [whitetail managment]

Is there anyone that can give come advise on the best HD digital video camera to use for filming managment hunts.  I goal is to send some of these into the outdoor channel for use on there showes.  I am wanting to know what would be user friendly for editing and dubing.

    I welcome any thoughts.

I think you'll find the Canon XHA1 would work well for you. Does well in low light too. www.usa.canon.com/app/htm...

    Whitetail Deer Managment

Tuesday, December 25, 2007, 10:31 AM CST [General]

It is very hard to age a deer for managment harvest in the field.  It is very important that this is done properly when harvesting cull bucks that need to be 5.5 to 6.5 years.  Or, when looking at a young Spike or fork horn.  Wildlife biologests have stated that, a genitically sound deer will have the "headgear" they will have when they are 1.5 years of age.

Let me know what yall think
