So far the hunting year has been pretty good. Started with a successful Javelina hunt in southern Arizona. Kinda fizzled with the spring turkey hunt (i was only able to get out 1 day). Picked back up again in Sept with the 16th almost annual trip to California for blacktail. Everyone in the group filled a tag. The Quail season has been real slow. Bad year for the Gambel's due to lack of rain this year. 10 days to go till opening day for my Mule deer hunt. Saw some nice bucks but the Junior cow elk hunt started and alot of people were out last weekend. After that I cant wait for my first attempt at Elk. I found a pretty good spot where the trailcam got some good photos.
