I got a phone call from a friend of mine this morning asking me if I wanted to go fishing with him on his boat,and of course I was allready loading up the rods before I said yep!Who was to know that it would be a day that would end up in total frustration!First, the place that we wanted to go to wasn't deep enough to get the boat off the trailer.So we just decided to make a 20 minute run to the local lake.We put the boat in the water and started to fish as soon as we left the dock and I missed a nice bass!And then another!What the heck!We were fishing in 8 to 12 foot of water with both manmade and natural structure when my friend started to front end me in the back of the boat.Every time I told him that we should move to another spot,he would put the boat in such a way that I couldn't get a good throw at it and he would catch a fish.To make a long story short,when we had to leave for home he had 5 bass and I got Skunked!The first time in years!I was "mad as hell" when we put the boat on the trailer and started for home,but then I took a deep breath and thought to myself,"A bad day on the water is better than any good day at work ". My track record of lunckers speaks for itself ! cgbrun2
