I allready have 2 state representives and a sportsmans club on board! Now I want to get our game commision on board! That is gonna be the big one! I really want this thing to take off and mabey be an every year event! Thats my goal! Anyone out there that would like to get on board with this thing will be more than welcome! Till my next blog,"Good luck in the woods and on the water"! And may all your trips outdoors be great ones! cgbrun2
Tree stands that go missing.
My co-workers and I were talking while we were on lunch break and the subject of things that go missing in the woods came around! Just 2 weeks ago,the mechanic on our shift went out to check his trail cam and it was gone! We harassed him and said that he just forgot where he put it! But he was serious! Me, also haveing my treestand stolen 10 years ago, knew just how he felt! I mean, you have to be a real lowdown piece of scum to take something that someone worked to get the money to pay for it and spent the time to take it out and put it up so they can enjoy the time that they have off from work ,only to find a chain lyeing on the ground, cut by a pair of bolt cutters, "Totally Sucks"!!! Why can't some people have more respect for another persons property? One of those questions that may never have a good answer for it! This may be mean and vandictive, but I hope that the guy that stole my treestand fell out of it and broke both his legs!!!! Sorry, but I'm not!cgbrun2
A Great Day on the Creek !

After working all night at my job,my co-worker and I decided to meet up for some early morning Flyfishing. The morning started out with a steady soaking rain, and after two hours of it I was drenched! My friend caught one nice Brook Trout before we met back at the vehicles ! We stood under the bridge were we parked and debaited what we were going to do next. Call it a day or go to another spot! Then the rain let up! it was still overcast, but at least the liquid sunshine stopped comeing down,so we went back to the stream! My friend threw a Wolly Booger that he had tied himself and the war cry "FISH ON" was soon heard! Another nice Brook Trout! He returned it to the water, made another cast and was screaming again! I finally got a Crazy Coachman tied on and was in the game and scored on the first cast as well! All the sudden we were doubleing up ! We were in heaven! And to think we almost packed it in and went home! In that one hole we both caught over twenty Brook Trout a piece! We lost count! And the colors were awesome! I caught one with a hooked jaw! It was all of 19 inches long! Just good, solid, healthy fish that put up a great fight! What A Day!!! I didn't sleep that whole day untill later on that evening and I looked at my wife and she said"You Look Tired" and my only reply was" It Was Worth It"!!! To all my friends out there,Good luck in the woods and on the water! I Did!!! cgbrun2
The Silver lineing of the cloud!
I went out the night before with my wife and child and put a nice Longbeard to bed, went home and got some sleep so I could get a real early start and be there when that ole tom decided to wake up and greet the morning! The morning was unfolding acording to plan. I was 50 yards from the roost and it was starting to lighten up and I heard the hens stiring. I made one call and that longbeard let out a beller that thundered down the valley,so I russled up some leaves and clucked once and that bird flew down 30 yards away and I allready had the safe off and was takeing aim when BOOOOMMM! And there my bird was Flopping on the ground! And a guy came rinning down through the woods sceaming like he had just hit the lotto or something! So I got up and started to walk over and as I got closer, I knew the guy! Here we were set up on the same bird and neither of us knew it! And it was his first longbeard too! How could I be mad! I was glad that I helped him out ! So when we got back to my truck I told him that I wanted to take a couple of pictures! It made me feel good that I was a part of it! It isn't allways about filling your own tag!
