I have been really excited reading messages sent to me from other women who are either interested in or have just recently decided to give hunting a try. It seems the majority of women I've heard from became interested in the world of hunting by either their husbands or boyfriends, and some by their fathers or brothers. Still, several girls somehow became interested on their own, without really even knowing anyone personally who hunts.
However a gal manages to find that she comes to call herself a "hunter", there seems to be one common thread present for most...a love of the outdoors!
There have got to be countless reasons why women are becoming more and more interested in what has "traditionally" been considered a "man's" sport.
I am really interested in hearing from the women out there on this one... Tell me why you hunt!!!
Or, for those of you fellas who have a sweetie who loves to hunt, let me know why it is they enjoy this sport? If you don't know...ASK THEM! ;)
I read your blog and I want to let you know I have conducted hunts for 1st time big game hunters here and my best hunts were conducted by Women hunters. I conduct one on one hunts here and show them Nature at it's finest. Women hunters tend to listen to their guide and have sucessful hunts. The largest Moose and Bear taken here was conducted by women.
