    Talk To Me

    Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 02:58 PM [General]

    Hey all,

Is there anyone else out there who cares about the environment and global warming and doesn't have a problem with hunting, fishing and enjoying the outdoors the way our grandparents did?

I feel that way. I think we have the technology to build cleaner and more energy efficient modes of transportation. I think climate change is a natural occurance and that humans are adding to the problem, but how much I don't know, let the smart people figure that out.

And when it comes to hunting and fishing people just don't understand the amounts of conservation and work that goes into building habitats for these animals. States and individuals go through a lot and suffer a ton of regulations and fees (and do it gladly) to preserve the envioronment for many species of animals to thrive.

Not to mention that populations are monitored by gov. agencies and restrictions are puton hunting if neccessary.

I'm not a hunter, I am a camper and hiker (and occasional fly fisherman) but hunters are responsible for helping build (through fees and adhearence to the regulations) many habitat areas. These are places that many species of plants and animals thrive and that can only be good for the enviorontment.
