Right here in Missouri is absolutely beautiful outdoors. I spent 5 hours fishin Saturday mornin and caught five fish. The biggest was about a 2.5 lb bass. I caught me some crawfish on Sunday, just catch and release. Had a frined out from New York and had never caught one. He'd only realy seen 'em on tv. So, I run him around the creeks a lil bit and showed hi where to find 'em and how to catch 'em. It opened up a whole new world to him. I think I may actually be able to talk him into goin fishin a lil later and maybe even huintin come deer season. It was nice bein able to introduce someone new to the outdoors. Missouri has some of the best I have seen so far. Not THE best, but some of.
Missouri has the Ozark Mountains runnin thru it. Ft Leonard Wood has the southern portion of the Mark Twain National Forrest in the Northern half of the post. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL area. The wildlife runnin thru here is amazingly beautiful. From the 20 lb coons runnin the rivers and creeks to the bobcats and mountain lions roamin the deep woods. The deer are abundant. The varmints are crawlin all over the place. The fishing is awesome. You can fish the same hole and catch either bass or trout, then flip over to a nother hole a few yards down river and tie into a catfish. I LOVE IT!!!!!

On that note, there was a pond not far from here where i live. my uncle first intrduced me to it when i was just 8 or 9 years old,the action in this pond was the best fishing of my life the pond was about 5 acres in size. well i have raised 5 kids 3 boy's and 2 girl's and now i am 40 years old all my children were able to fish on the pond.oh and many of their friends too, this pond if you tied 3 jigs on a line with a bobber a couple feet up you would have 3 crappie on.well last year they came in with bulldozers and turned the 150 acre piece of land into a subdivision.one of the most sadest day i remember for me and my kids. we did get tons of pictures and we have a million memories, especially me since i fished it for 32 years.well now we are in search of another secret fishing hole that we can introduce my up and coming grandkids to. wish us luck!
