Travis's 1st Turkey

Dicky Clark and his son, Travis are back with us today, and we in a place that has big turkeys. We had gobbling early, but couldn't close the deal. We spotted a big gobbler working the field and Travis and I worked him over to us with a few clucks and purrs. Almost too close!

Kelly's Hunt

Kelly joined us today for a hunt and got to see lots of animals. We were privledged to see a young momma hen protecting her new chicks and even got to see the big monster bird she hoped for!

John's Bird

We joined John McTier on this unseasonally cool spring morning to lure an ol' gobbler to B-Mobile. Within just minutes we had 2 longbeards running in for a fight.

Jimmy and I had a great morning, the weather turned off cool and 2 jakes were headed to our decoy. Big birds were gobbling in the distance, but none came in. We hunted back to the truck and stired up 2 hot longbeards.

Mary Beth's Hunt Day 1

Mary Beth and husband, George are on their 1st turkey hunt and we are positioned at the edge of a plowed field. Our calling and a couple decoys bring 2 longbeards in for a close encounter!

We got in a blind early and had 2 gobbling real close as daylight broke. We got an earfull of gobbling and one big Tom came into sight twice, but nothing close enough for a shot.

Our Youngest Hunter

Landon, 6 y/o, joined us today with his dad and we hunted at our friend Phil's place today. Landon had a Jake in gun range early, no shot, but later that morning shot at his 1st turkey and missed!

Big Foot

Jimmy and I found the strut zone of this bird after our hunt yesterday and we knew if we could get in there today, we had a good chance of getting him with B-Mobile.

Jared's Hunt

Jared is 15 and he won this hunt at the Wild Game Supper sponsored by Corinth Baptist Church. We had a couple different birds working and the 2nd bird almost road in the truck, but a hen saved him

Jon's Bird

Jon and I put the blind out in the early dark with B-Mobile at 25 yards. The ol' strutter was boss gobbler and didn't like seeing another strutter in his field. He didn't get close enough today, but tonight was his last time on the limb!

We made an afternoon hunt, but the birds were already in the field. Our effort to get into position was quickened when this big longbeard came strutting our way and out of range.

Richie's Bird, Day 2

We tried this field bird again on a clear morning, but he was real call shy and didn't respond to our calls. We will use a decoy tomorrow!

We hunted this field bird on a foggy morning and he was too cautious to come in for a shot.

Richie's 1st Turkey

This bird gave us a fit. He strutted and gobbled in a big field, and the 3rd time we brought B-Mobile to finally get his attention!

Luke's 1st Turkey

Luke's dad and I hunted yesterday and he harvested a big longbeard. We also roosted this bird his son, Luke shot today for his 1st ever turkey. Congratulations to both!

Two Headed To The Decoys!

I hunted with Fernando, Paul and Tony this morning and had these 2 coming in, but they saw something and left. Tony got his 1st bird of the 2008 season.

Too Close And Behind Tree

We had John Mark and son, John on this hunt and slipped inbetween the gobblers and hens for a close call, but a marginal shot. We'll have to try him another day!

Benn Makes His 1st Turkey Hunt

Benn and his friend David join Jimmy and me on a crisp cold morning in S. Georgia. We get on another bird early that joins up with hens, but this ol' Tom was calling our name and we gave him an invite to dinner, but he's the dinner!

Opening Day In South Georgia

Well we started our Georgia turkey season with our friends Malcomb and Melanie. Had plenty of gobbling and Melanie harvested our 1st turkey in Georgia.

Opening Day In Florida

We had Greg and his son, Luke with us today. We almost made it happen quick, but the short was marginal.

We planted chufa in this area and notice the birds were scratching it, so I sat one afternoon and got these longbeards having a little snack before flying up.
