    Fisher's ATV Reunion

Friday, July 4, 2008, 02:08 PM EST [General]

    Hello Everyone!

The Fisher's ATV Reunion we just held in Gilbert, WV was a huge success! Thanks to everyone that came out and spent the weekend with us! With only three months of pulling this whole thing together, we were really pleased with how it all turned out!

My favorite part of the whole weekend was having the chance to hang out with viewers of the show and share their stories of being out on the trail! Part of my job is looking into the camera every week and talking to it like I'm talking to my buddy so I can relate to the viewers at home. It's so cool to meet people that are really into ATVing and enjoy what we do!

Another cool part of the weekend was being able to watch our extended version of Fish Reel and Behind the Scenes Footage on the BIG screen in the Community Center Movie Theatre! Everyone really seemed to enjoy this!  On Friday night, I got to talk from the stage and do a little Q&A session from the crowd, tell some stories of our adventures on the road and play some unbelievable games for some pretty cool prizes! My daughter Briana even got up and sang!

The Toyota Country Concert with Michael Scott, Sarah Johns & Daryle Singletary that we put on Saturday night was Awesome! Michael Scott jumped up on the seat of the High Lifter Polaris Sportsman 800 (that we gave away later that night) while it was sitting on the Diamond Back of my Toyota Tundra and sang a few songs. He had the crowd really into it....even got them up dancing! My good friend Daryle Singletary, put on yet another great show too!

We had a Warn Winch, Suzuki King Quad 450 and a MONSTER High Lifter Polaris Sportsman 800 that we gave away as door prizes to our Reunion ticket holders from the main stage on Saturday night! Our winners were pretty excited as you can imagine!

We've received a lot of great feedback on the Fisher's ATV Reunion Event and we're already in the planning stages for next year! Next year's ATV Reunion promises to be even bigger and better, guaranteed! I can tell you that it will be held at the same location and more than likely around the same time so mark your calendars now (June 19- 21, 2009)! We'll keep you posted as we lock down the dates for 2009! Hope you all can come out and join us!

See you out on the trail!

GETTING READY FOR THE BIG EVENT!!!!

Monday, June 9, 2008, 04:52 PM EST [General]

The staff here at Fisher’s ATV World is going crazy getting everything ready for our “Fisher’s ATV Reunion. I gotta say the closer it gets the more excited we get. We can’t wait to hang out with some fellow ATVers for the weekend and enjoy a weekend full of fun, games, good food and country music. The support for this event has been overwhelming to say the least.

We now have not one ATV we’ll be giving away but two, thanks to Polaris and Suzuki. The first one is a Suzuki KingQuad 450 4X4 and the second is a fully customized bad to the bone Polaris Sportsman ATV with a ton of High Lifter accessories already on it. You talk about some good odds of taking home a brand new ATV…

We’re also in the process of putting the finishing touches on the exclusive Fish Reel and behind the scenes footage we’ll be showing in the Larry Joe Harless Community Center movie theaters. I promise you this footage has never been seen any where else before and you will not believe some of the things we go through out on the road…

    See ya’ll in WV,

    ON THE HUNT AGAIN

Wednesday, May 28, 2008, 05:04 PM EST [General]

I took my 15 year old son Tyler turkey hunting on Saturday near Altoona, PA. We hooked up with a friend of mine T-Barr from t-barrzoutdoors.com.  He has a guide service which he pretty much hunts anything and everything all over the place.

I called T-Barr up and asked him if he could take us out on some of his home turf and see if we can get in to some turkeys.  He said no problem but I have another client that will be tagging along.  I said that’s cool, but the odds of us getting any turkeys with four guys is pretty slim.

The morning came and we headed out to where we thought the turkeys were only to find out they were about a mile back by where we parked the truck.  We hiked back hoping to get on them and they moved on until we got there.

We walked and called for a while until we located some other ones.  We then put the moves on them to get in as close as we could and carefully put out the decoys and then went to work.  After about an hour of working them we had two big gobblers down.  One for my son Tyler and one for T-Barrz client Rob.  Now that’s a good day turkey hunting…

    Turkey Hunting

Friday, May 16, 2008, 04:57 PM EST [General]

I just got back from a hunt last week in MO with IMB Outfitters (imbmonsterbucks.com) and bagged two big gobblers. I had two awesome guides that really knew the farms we were hunting on. Alex Rutledge from Hunter's Specialties was also in camp and bagged a pretty nice bird himself.

The first morning went according to plan. We set up on the edge of a field and a big gobbler flew down checked out our decoy and I popped him.

The second day was not that easy. We called in two different birds and they hung up about thirty yards away. Then my guide called in two more from a long way off and they both came in and got within 30 yards of our decoy and strutted and waited for her to come to them. My camera man and I had to wait about 20 minutes until we had the opportunity to turn all the way to our left and take the shot. Our result was two mature gobblers in two days.

When I called my wife Melissa and told her about the first one she was so excited. Then I called her the next morning to tell her about the second one and she said are you getting them both mounted? Without missing a beat I said, You bet baby...

Country Music and the Hatfield & McCoy

Tuesday, April 29, 2008, 05:04 PM EST [General]

    Hey All,

We just got back from a ride at the Hatfield & McCoy Trails in Gilbert, WV, where we rode ATVs and Dirt Bikes with American Idol Finalists Bucky Covington and Country Music Artists Daryle Singletary & Michael Scott. Bucky's twin brother, Rocky, came along. No doubt that this wasn't these boys first time riding! They were pretty good riders, if I must say so myself. Bucky's video, "It's Good to be Us" is getting a lot of air time right now on the radio and TV. It's got a lot of dirt bike riding through out. We did get the inside scoop that Bucky's record label wouldn't let him do any of the riding for this video so Rocky, Bucky's twin brother, did all the riding for this. We took all these guys over to the Pinnacle Creek Trail System which is one of my favorite trails in WV. It was good and muddy, so you know it was a good time! Bucky, Daryle and Michael did some picking and sang some acoustics for us after dinner at the Crooked Trail Restaurant later that evening! All three of these guys have incredible voices! You can catch this trip on a future episode of our show! I have to say, hanging out with these guys is pretty cool. You might look at them and wonder what it might be like to be in their shoes. And here they are with me out on the trail saying, "Son, you do this for a living? Sign me up!"

One of the other trips we just got back from that'll air on an upcoming show is the 2008 High Lifter Mud Nationals in Texas. Now this is the biggest, baddest, red neck mud event you've ever seen and you won't believe what some of these guys do to their quads! When it comes to monster quads and mud riding, this is the place to be! We also got the chance to ride with my good friend, Country Music Artist Tracy Lawrence and some of his crew down at Carolina Adventure World in South Carolina! This is one ATV Park that was well worth the trip! We had an awesome day riding there.

Now as you might have realized from all of my special guests, I'm a little partial to country music. Actually, I pretty much listen to almost everything except classical and rap music. Depends on what kind of mood I'm in I guess. I really enjoy the country side of living though because I grew up in a small town and that's what my family always listened to. My son Tyler, who is nearly 16 years old, also likes to listen to country! In our travels to different events and campgrounds, it seems that many of you enjoy country music too – just kicking back, sitting by the campfire listening to country music after a long days ride. Life is Good!

Now speaking of country music, I'm really looking forward to heading to Gilbert, WV for our event, Fisher's ATV Reunion, June 20th-22nd, 2008. Hope you all come join us! It's gonna be a great time! We've got a lot of great entertainment lined up for this event! My good friend Daryle Singletary will be entertaining us from the main stage on Saturday night along with Sarah Johns and newcomer Michael Scott! Now if you're like me, it's easier to recognize these artists by what they sing. Daryle Singletary is known for his "Too Much Fun" single and "I Let Her Lie". Sarah Johns just released and can be heard on the radio with her two latest singles "He Hates Me" and "One in the Middle." Michael Scott is our newcomer but I'm told by all the record labels that he puts on one hell of a show and I can say that I've seen him do some acoustic stuff at the Crooked Trail Restaurant the last time we were in Gilbert, WV, and man can he sing! He'll definitely be worth checking out.

Now, when we got together to start planning this event, I knew that I wanted it to be less hectic than most of the other events I've attended this past year. We just wanted a good time to get together with some fellow atvers, kick back, relax and have a good time. We've been to Gilbert, WV, several times this year and one of the reasons we chose this place to hold our Reunion was most of all the southern hospitality and the simple fact that once you take your ATV off your truck or trailer, you can pretty much ride on the street to local businesses and right out to the trailhead. It's an incredibly ATV-friendly environment that you'd have a hard time finding anywhere else.

We're hoping you all can come out and join us for a weekend full of food, fun, entertainment and riding ATVs on the Hatfield & McCoy Trail!

    See Ya Soon,
    Brian Fisher
