Guiding a Bull hunt. Spotted 6 cows. My Cow hunters. None tag. Pick the wrong Moose to guide this week. We call this hunting. Not everyone tags out first day but it would be good if it happened so I would be not so Dat Burn Tired!!!!

Moose hunting for second week starts Mon. They are still not into the rut. We have notice the rut starts later every year. This morning two good Bulls and two Cows. We shouldn't have a problem. Has the rut been later for  hoofed animals everywhere because I haven't seen many new pics for Elk. or Mullies?

It's getting better. 2 Massive Bulls. One of them didn't have a care in the world, he had his girlfriend with him.  The other bull was very spooked. We also saw 4 other cows. Still, they should be in full rut now but still don't answer to calls. We are going to check the afternoons now but I don't like retrieving Moose in the dark. We like filling tags in the daytime or first light.

Well guys and gals, I went and saw 6 Cows and no bulls. The ones We spotted were still very skittish and wouldn't answer to calls. We then proceeded to bird hunt . They too were very skittish. We will try tomorrow and see if the coffee can get a Bull to answer.

Is is time to get going. 2nd week of Moose season is a week from tomorrow.  We have two hunts to scout for. We have a Bull and a cow hunt. Right now we are in the beginning of the rut. All calling should get response.  We will go to some of the same areas as of the first week. Some of the bigger Bulls are still around.
