My deer hunt was a sucess except for bagging a deer. Went hunting Mon and the air was crisp. Went into an area that the deer were moving South to North and had a mild westerny wind. Descenting was perfect.  I was on a ground set and spotted a doe approaching. With the amount of trees, I only had two shooting lanes. The Deer appoached and I made a grunt call to stop the deer. The Deer stopped behind the biggest tree.  What the hey? I only had one more shot. The Deer started walking again. I made another call, Deer stop, took the shot, and a loud SMACK! I didn't see the Branch between Me and the Deer! DAT BURN IT! THAT'S WHY IT IS CALLED HUNTING HA HA

Today we exercize one of our rights. We have the right to choose our leader of this great nation. No matter what party you are from get out and vote!

Today was youth hunting day. Nothing is better than the excitement of watching our youth and our future at work. Because of unforseen problems we had to back out of a youth hunt. I ran into some kids that were successful and others that were just having a good time. I will not be deer hunting this year around here because of the problems that arose but I will have an opportunity out of state. Be careful and be safe!
